| 31 July 2009: Snap-on Tools, brand leader in tools, tool storage and diagnostic equipment for the automotive market has announced the introduction of the latest addition to its power tools range – the innovative new CTSU 561 CLUK 7.2v cordless screwdriver which is ideal for restricted access tasks.
An evolution of Snap-on’s highly successful CTSU 561 cordless screwdriver, the new introduction has a six position clutch system which allows the user improved control allowing fasteners to be used on delicate materials such as the interior of vehicles. Setting the clutch to the desired position helps to prevent over-tightening so no damage can be caused to leather, plastic or fastener heads.
The CTSU 561 CLUK kit includes the pocket screwdriver, two batteries and also the 55-minute battery charger – all supplied in a blow moulded case for convenient safe storage.
Snap-on offers many accessories to complement the CTU 561 CLUK, including the CTLED 566, a small power torch that utilises the same battery as the screwdriver. With six high intensity LEDs this torch will run for eight hours on a full battery. Numerous Bits Sets are also available from Snap-on for use with this screwdriver, covering all the popular fasteners on the market.
“At Snap-on Tools we pride ourselves on not simply providing the highest quality tools available but also our ability to predict future market needs and then create the required product in advance of customer demand,” says Terry Barcham, European Managing Director of Snap-on Tools. “Our new CTSU 561 CLUK cordless screwdriver is a perfect example of our ongoing innovation processes.”
