| 4 March 2008 : Snap-on Diagnostics, world leaders in service equipment for vehicle air conditioning systems, has announced the introduction of a new flushing kit and accessory pack for its KoolKare air conditioning recycling centre range.
Designed to incorporate all the benefits of today’s latest technology, the Sun KoolKare Blizzard (pictured) is a true single-pass recycling system, which removes air and moisture from the vehicle air conditioning system and also checks the system for leaks. The easy to use controls and menu-driven prompts guide the operator through a step-by-step programme to carry out a fully automatic recovery, vacuum, recycle and recharge sequence, or any of the functions separately.
In accordance with vehicle manufacturers recommendations, when the air con system on a vehicle has been exposed to atmosphere - as in an accident or as a result of changing say the compressor - the vehicle air con system should be flushed as part of the repair, to help exclude and remove all contaminants from the system before recharging with refrigerant. To meet this important need, Snap-on Diagnostics has launched the EAK0234N20A Flushing Kit.
“This new flushing kit can be used with all Snap-on KoolKare models,” says Terry Smith, European Marketing Manager, “but in addition, the current top-of-the-range KoolKare Blizzard also has onboard software which allows the technician to programme the procedure, the KoolKare Blizzard does the rest automatically. Another time saving, productive and revenue generating solution for the modern workshop or body repair shop.”
Customers can also obtain the new EAK0234N10A accessory kit for use with the KoolKare range. This professional accessory kit is supplied in a protective case and includes safety gloves, goggles, universal PAG oil for replenishing oil removed in the service process. The kit also contains a UV leak detection set comprising UV Light, UV sensitive glasses and UV sensitive dye. The dye can be added to the vehicle air con system as a part of the KoolKare Blizzard's automatic or manual procedures to enable technicians to pinpoint system leaks fast and accurately.
